Sha’Malia Willis is a native of Detroit, Michigan. She is a Pilot, Educator, Author, Communicator, and Entrepreneur (PEACE).
Her motivation to help the community came from the service she took part in during her adolescent years. In 2002 she became a part of an Illustrious Sisterhood, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. Education is very important to Sha’Malia; to this day she admonishes her students to be intentional about learning something new daily.
Sha’Malia hosted an information broadcast for over 4 years where she spoke to over 2,500 students daily. Through listening and researching she understood that the youth needed tools and strategy. She wrote Dear Destiny: Letters of Strategy and Tools for Building Your Best Self.
Sha’Malia was the recipient of the President Lifetime Achievement Award, $25,000 Tyler Perry Building on a House of Faith awardee and even a WB20 Positive Detroit commercial recipient, for outstanding community service.
As one of the most significant community leaders within her generation, Sha’Malia founded International Community Builders (ICB): an online-based, non-profit 501(c)(3). ICB is an international collaborative community initiative, to assist institutions and individuals, aiding them in accomplishing their mission while educating and assisting with building economic self-sufficiency.
Sha’Malia’s passion for the beauty industry led her to start a hair extension business, My Celebrity Hair Extensions. In 2012 the company expanded to do business in the country of Botswana.
Sha’Malia Willis has given her life to educate and prepare individuals to continue life as strategic thinkers while dominating a system and pursuing their vocation.
